If you have insurance and would like us to check your coverage, we would be happy to do this as a courtesy upon presenting your health insurance card(s) to our office staff.
We recognize the need for a definite understanding between the patient and his or her doctor regarding financial arrangement for medical care. Rancho Santa Fe Audiology has established fees for FDA approved hearing aids and professional services for our patients. The responsibility for payment of these fees is the direct obligation of the patient. The exception is for those cases where the patient’s insurance provider has signed a contract with our office.
Rancho Santa Fe Audiology is contracted with many insurance carriers and we are happy to file an insurance claim on your behalf . Hearing devices will be billed at manufacturer’s suggested price to guarantee maximum reimbursement. If we are a contracted provider with an insurance carrier we are obligated to provide a hearing aid for the determined “allowed amount”. If a requested hearing aid’s cost is higher than this it is the patient’s responsibility to pay the difference.
